Turn & Face the Strange Ch-ch-changes

(And of course this is titled in homage to the recently departed David Bowie, whose talent we love and will miss. A strange change indeed.)

Well, the Rams are in STL no more. Makes me think of when the NFL Cardinals left. (Always sort of wished they'd come back and make things "normal" again.)

But, hey, we've got no time to focus on bygones. We're more interested in what's growing than who's going.

Take Union Station, for instance, which is about to undergo a major renovation including a 200-foot-tall observation wheel, food-train park under the train shed, green space, a light tunnel, and a fountain and fire show on the lake. They're also redoing the inside to a train themed hotel and private event space. Exciting stuff.

We've also just caught wind that the Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar, is playing one of the free Fair St. Louis shows this year on July 3, and we hear the Fair will yet again be held in Forest Park. Presumably they won't be quite ready with all the massive coming Arch updates quite yet, so one thing that won't change right away is we get one more year of the Fair on Art Hill. This is also one of the earliest concert announcements we've ever heard for the Fair, so that'll give people something to look forward too as we finally brave some winter cold.

So, there ya have it. Just the latest of our numerous coming things. Keep looking ahead, STL. These changes point to better things to come.

Know of more coming things we should mention? Let us know in the comments below.
