Let's Talk About the Weather... Updates Around Town

Hey all, a couple big programming notes to share.

Life Outside Festival Rescheduled for September
The free festival, which was set for this weekend, is now rescheduled for September 21 due to flooding. Looks like they're also relocating to St. Vincent County Park. Been looking forward to this, so a bit sad but relieved given the circumstances. Watch for updates at greatriversgreenway.org/life-outside.

Shakespeare Festival is On
"Love's Labor Lost" is now playing nightly (minus Mondays) in Forest Park through June 23. This free event is another watcher for the weather, so head out there on the next calm evening you find. Details at sfstl.com.

Let's Go Blues! We Want That Cup!
Well, we are in the thick of it now, but I can't leave this out. As you've probably heard, if you didn't score a ticket to any of the Blues Stanley Cup playoff games (and, I must say, Game 4 was MAGNIFICENT to see inside the Center), you still have some great options. While tickets remain (this WILL sell out), Enterprise Center is selling $10 watch party seats ($5 for season ticket holders) for games played in Boston. Also right around the corner outside on Market, you can join the crowd for our final free home game outdoor watch party on Sunday (weather permitting), where they'll Play Gloria for a group sing-along after the Blues win. Let's do this thing! More at nhl.com/blues.

And, hey, if you haven't been downtown during all this, just swing by the Enterprise Center gift shop or something. The atmosphere is absolutely electric. So much fun.

Fair St. Louis 2019 Lineup Announced
This is going to be an interesting fair as the river is currently taking a walk up the stairs (UPDATE: we've learned there is a relocation contingency if the water stays above 34 feet, which has now also been affected by a levee breech), but we've dealt with this sort of thing before. Fair STL just released the free concert list, including shows by Randy Houser, Brett Young, Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, Vertical Horizon and The Flaming Lips. Check it out...

Keep Your Eyes On the Sky & the Roads
Okay, we can't stress this enough... Be sure to check on event cancellations, plus park and road closures ahead of time. Several recent outdoor events, including ballgames and concerts, have been cancelled, moved or postponed due to the frequent storms, especially with increased severe situations and flooding. This pattern may not let up anytime soon, as we've had a system stalled out over the Rockies since February that's got us in this crazy rinse and repeat cycle. Praying that breaks up and gives us some relief, but for now please be very aware ahead of any outdoor plans you might have, and don't get caught in any dangerous conditions.

That's it for now. Have fun, and stay safe out there!
